Disabled facilities grant and some questions about my mother's housing

I am looking for some advise if anyone is able to help. My mother had a disabled facilities grant carried out through the council, it was done in 2021 there was a few issues in the beginning but not big problems. my mother noticed that after showering during showering the bathroom was very steamy the window was open but made no difference then about an hour after showering there was a lot of water running down tiles and the floor was rather wet. Shortly after i brought this up with grants and they said there was no external wall to put a fan and it was a lot of work to go through the attic so a fan could not be fitted yet on the paperwork it does say it had been done. This is now having an impact on other areas of my home my attic has water droplets on wales my front bedroom external wall there is a lot of condensation on window and the sill aloso the bottom of the wall is really damp. i have never had a problem with things until my bathroom was fitted am i right thinking it is due to no fan being fitted. councill are just not returning messages or calling me back.

Possibly, but not every bathroom has an extractor fan with no significant ill effect on the wider property. I used to live mid terrace, upstairs bathroom with no fan, although a few small spots of mould did develop on the ceiling. Later when the bathroom was redone with a fan mould never returned.

How long is the window left open after showering?

It isn't right however that the paperwork states something has been done when it hasn't - the sign off inspection should have picked that up.

Is it possible to visit the council in person to try and speak to someone?

You could also reach out to your local councillor for assistance.

When i brought it up with council about paper work that's when they said, they couldn't carry it out

A savayer didn't come to inspect it due to covid restrictions and they completed it by looking at images

I have left several messages and i have been there and told the same thing to leave my number and someone will call me back and this has been ongoing for 6/8 months and still havent had a call back. This is frustrating me more than anything

I am going to try and get my local MP involved .
