Please can anyone give me the answers to my quiries to my communication submitted to Scope ten minutes ago. explaining that DWP Pensions have given me mixed messages, I am 82 and receiving Pension Credit, DLA & SDA, I have never received any notification as to how much I am being paid on my State Pension, so contacted DWP, was told they have no claim for State Pension, I explained that before I was of Pension age I opted to defer my Pension but never received any communication from DWP pensions, and now wanted to know what State Pension I was being paid, I was advised to make a new claim my Pension would be worked out and I would be paid a lump sum for the arrears, I was provided with a telephone number to make my claim, when I got through, an agent informed me that if I made a claim for my State Pension, I would not be paid any arrears, and I would lose my SDA, he then asked me if I wanted to make my claim, I was uncertain because of the mixed messages I had received so informed him that I was going to seek advice first,

Can someone please clarify the situation regarding my State Pension and SDA.

Hi there @Marimo and welcome to the community.

I'm sorry no one was able to answer your query within ten minutes. We're a forum and people are answering questions in their free time, without pay. So can sometimes take a while to get the answers you need, I do apologise.

According to the government website "If you've reached State Pension age, you'll continue to get Severe Disablement Allowance unless your circumstances change." So I'm unsure as to why the call agent told you that?
