Hi all, my son has been going through a tough time and lost his job. He is living with us and we have been urging him to claim universal credit until he finds a job as we are supporting him. Will our income/savings affect him being able to claim? We realise he won't be able to claim the housing element but hope he will be able to claim something.
Thanks J

No. Even though you live together you are considered seperate households in terms of UC. His personal entitlement is not affected by your income or savings.
