Help with moving from lcw to lcwra

Hello everyone. I wonder if anyone has any experience of dealing with this...
I have been on lcw for over 2 years. My assessment date was due last July. I queried with my work coach what was happening and she said they had assessed me but had just left me on same. I had no assessment and my health condition has deteriorated considerable and work coach has said she feels I should be on lcwra. She chased and I finally got new form to complete and sent back end of December. Since then nothing and been told there is a back log to deal with. I don't get any extra financial support being on lcw but would if put onto higher one. Would this be back dated? I do now receive lower rate daily pip and higher rate mobility pip after a long process of assessment. Why do these things take so long to sort out? Find all these assessments, forms and waiting so stressful.
Many thanks

If you report a worsening health and submit Fit Notes alongside, any LCWRA award would be backdated to the report date.
If the DWP initiate the review, then any LCWRA decision generally dates back only to the Assessment Period in which it's made.
I believe for any other circumstances the above applies, but I'm not 100% sure.
