Good afternoon all.I received a text message today to say I'm have a pip assessment on the 26th of this month.Im already getting higher rate on both elements and my condition has got worse;which I informed them but as I'm already getting higher rate on both didn't think I would need to be reassessed. The problem I have is last time I had to take them to court to be awarded.I really can't go through that process again,as it completely drained me.

Hey @Popdiva43 unfortunately everyone has to go for reassessments with PIP, the longest award is ten years. But it's odd that they didn't send you a review letter with forms, as that's usually how it happens? Did your last award letter not have a length of award on it?

Oh I did gets the forms through end of last year. The thing that gets me is that somebody I know filled in review form and received message stating that they've made a decision about your pip claim without having an assessment. My condition is worse than theirs, yet they don't have to go through the assessment again and they got same pip element as last time.

Ah ok then, yes if you've filled in the forms, they will have been for your PIP review, which we all have to go through.

Sometimes, when a person fills in the forms and the assessors feels they don't need to ask any further questions, they'll do what they call a "paper based assessment" which is what your friend had. It's nothing to do with how bad someone's condition is, it's how well they've communicated to the assessor how their condition affects them daily.
