LCWRA advice

hi, I have being on UC since 2018 I was on limited capability for work and they never offered me the option of applying for LCWRA. In Feb 2024 I received a form to fill out on my health conditions and had to have it back to them by 1st March 2024 in which I did in time. I then only had my health medical assessment in January 2025, I received my letter in my IC journal that I was awarded LCWRA on 18th Feb 2025 - The confusing part is I haven’t received anything regarding pay or back pay. I’ve never had to send fit notes and I’m not required to now either, My assessment period is 26-25th every month. I received on 1st March 2025 the added element of LCWRA but now I had a message on my journel saying I have to wait for assessment periods which takes me to July 1st (1st is my paydays). I’m wondering if anyone can make any light of this whether I’ll still be receiving the extra element now or will it stop till July and what’s the assessment period for? It’s all confusing.
Before I got the letter of the outcome of my health assessment I went under review for bank statements which I sent over straight away and an app has being made for a phone interview on 18th March I’m not worried about this as I haven’t done anything against the rules other than I transfer money to my family and they put money in my account to purchase things easy explained as it’s the same people.
Thankyou if anyone can help!!

In 2018 you could have appealed the LCW decision for up to 13 months. Information on this should have been on your award letter.
You have been misadvised (sadly too common) via Journal.
When going from LCW to LCWRA there is no waiting period.
As it sounds like the review was initiated by the DWP, there is also no backdate and the decision applies from the Assessment Period in which the LCWRA is awarded. So no backpay is owed.

Thankyou for your response!
I was moved from ESA to UC due too circumstances of my mum moving in with me so I had to make a new claim for housing benefit which ment I had to make a claim for UC. I had no award letter it’s just how they did it my medication is the same from then and health just I have had more formal diagnosis, in which each time I spoke to them I asked if they needed to know of any changes of medication or health and they said if it’s not got better or increased it’s fine. I’m just clueless off the waiting period part as I’ve looked through a few threads on here and people have used fit notes in which since being on UC in 2018 I’ve never had to upload a fit notes and on the award letter for LCWRA it also states I don’t have too.Do you have any idea what the waiting period is for and if payments will only start in July or it’s just making sure everything is how it should be? Thankyou again.

You were misadvised by UC.
There is no waiting period when going from LCW to LCWRA, and you said your LCWRA element payment was on your latest UC statement.
So no waiting period and your payments have correctly already started.
