Goodmayes Hospital
Has anyone else received appalling, substandard care from this mental health facility. My mother had me sectioned because I was smoking too much and constantly asking my father for money, but despite having no psychotic symptoms I was forcibly medicated with 300mg of Depixol a month and diagnosed as Schizophrenic by a very inexperienced Doctor who hadn't read my medical records. He nearly killed me twice. I was subjected to two physical assaults whilst on the ward and sometimes denied food. I have never witnessed such poor care as I received there. I actually have Asperger's and a very high IQ yet they say I lack insight and capacity. Is there any possibility of bringing a medical negligence lawsuit against the Doctor who misdiagnosed me and mismedicated me. I started hearing voices after he medicated me, a known side effect of misprescribed antipsychotic medication.

Hi @RomfordRob i'm so sorry to hear of your experience. That sounds absolutely awful. I haven't heard of this facility myself but if you're thinking of a medical negligence lawsuit, it's definitely worth reaching out to a legal professional in the first instance to get their view.
I hope you're doing ok now.
Best wishes,
