Distractions from today's news, what's everybody doing today?

I thought I would start a thread in response to this horrible day for us to be together in solidarity without having to talk directly about what's going on.
I think we all deserve to treat ourselves today, what will everyone do?
I'm going to go on my favourite dog walk and stop by my favourite bakery on the way home for some cream cakes 😁 Then I'm going to settle in for a Lord of The Rings movie marathon. I will do ZERO housework and I won't be opening my curtains.
What will you do to treat yourself today?

Its sunny but cold here.
I may nip down town later and have a pot of tea overlooking the sea.
I was hoping for a lie in but flipping workmen making noise downstairs.

going to try and do some cleaning as I spent all day on the sofa yesterday exhausted. I’ve also restarted Benidorm on Netflix so I’m going to be watching that too

Hi @Meg24 Thank you for starting this thread. It is a lovely idea.
Bright and sunny here so will walk the dog and perhaps do some gardening.

You beat me to it @Meg24 thanks for doing this, I think everyone deserves a little chill time today. ❤️
I'll be having lunch in the garden today I think. I'll watch the little dunnocks that have decided to visit. Very cute little birds.
Thought watching LOTRs sounds excellent too. 😁3 -
I bought perfectly ripe watermelon on the way to work today and enjoyed that for breakfast!
It sounds like you have a lovely day planned @Meg24!! I love a sweet treat, what cakes are you going to buy?

Same! I have roadworks literally just outside my front door. Thank goodness for noise cancelling headphones!

Good morning I have just finished paying my debts and bills I fell off the wagon with everything last month so was behind with everything and in a pickle this happens to me every so often for many years asd and money management can be a nightmare to manage sometimes now I need to go to the shop for supplies but really struggling to actually get out of my bed with sensory overload in full play once I do manage it maybe today maybe tomorrow I am going to treat myself to a bag of chips before hibernating again until next month

Today is a day off for me, I don't work Tuesdays :)
I have been in the garden a little. Last night I finished my book so I need to pick a new one. I have some things I want to do today but other matters is preventing me concentrating, so it's probably going to be a slow chill day, maybe with a DVD later on.I have clothes I should be sorting but…they are at least neat, even if they aren't in the right place, so they can wait till things are less tense.
I do at least have the house to myself this morning, which is nice :D And it is sunny.2 -
I went outside, but it's too cold, even though it's sunny. I'm bingeing my Bottom box set instead.
