So I’ve been reading, I understand you only get backdated payment 3 assessment periods after your first fit note.
Here’s the info you guys will probably need because I don’t quite understand the way it’s explained.

I started my whole UC claim on the 15th October 2024 making my assessment period the 15th-14th of each month. That much I know

I was awarded lcwra on the 6th of march, so if I’m awarded money from three assessment periods after I submitted my first sick note in October would that be

Oct-nov, nov-dec, dec-jan ?

So let me know if I’m way off but should I be awarded backdated payments for the assessment period of

Jan-Feb

Feb-march

Granted that my assessment period is the 15-14th of every month. It may also help if I add that my payday every month is the 21st so that is after the Feb-march assessment date, if you understand what I’m saying ?

Would I be entitled to the £415 Lcwra x2 ? For the two periods after the three original assessment periods ? And if I am awarded that money when will I get it because it’s the 21st and I got just the £715 that includes the lcwra but no backdated. Thankyou for taking your time to read this

Were there any gaps in handing in Fit Notes, any that were backdated etc?

Do you claim UC with a partner who gets LCWRA themselves?

Do you have any Transitional Protection on your claim? If yes, how much please?

there was no gaps in fit notes I always get them in on time, and no it’s a singular claim.

I’m actually unsure what transitional protection is ?

If you get Transitional Protection it will have been listed on your previous payment statements.

Did you report the health condition and submit the first Fit Note all on the 15th October?

no I do not have transitional protection and I submitted the first fit note on the 4th November but I did declare my health issues from the first day of the claim also

Then your timeline is a little off. LCWRA waiting period is three full assessment periods.

October/November: Partial AP, excluded from waiting period.

    November/December: AP 1

    December/January: AP 2

    January/February: AP 3

    February/March: Eligible for LCWRA element.

March 21st: First LCWRA element paid.

    No backpay is due.

I edited my post because I realised you've already been paid LCWRA element on March 21st.

So no backpay is due I'm afraid.
