hi I’m on contributory esa and I’m due a reassessment this July and I also get pip but a couple of years ago my partner suffered a brain injury if they declare me fit for work if I don’t pass the assessment or put me in group were you have to look for work I’m not going to be in a position to get a job due to my partners brain injury has he cannot be left on his own plus my own health issues family look after both of us and my mental health has deteriorated over the past months

Do you have access to a social worker?
I suggest you talk to them and the Citizens advice bureau

Hi @jrhigson, Hopefully your assessment will go through okay, but if you are able to explain your situation they may be able to take into account that you are caring for your partner.
Has your partner had a needs assessment at all? That might be worth looking into to see if they can get you both some extra support:

As Littlefatfriend says, Citizen's Advice might be worth a go too to see if they can help with anything.
