Question about housing benefit eligibility

I've read the information online and I just want to be sure I'm understanding it. It says if you started your UC claim after 2019, you aren't eligible for HB. But I can't understand what replaces it. Is there a replacement, or are you meant to pay your rent out of your UC? Is there any rent help and what are the eligibility criteria?

Housing Element is paid via Universal Credit for help with rent.
How much you get depends on quite a few factors.

Thanks for the info. What happens if your UC gets stopped at reassessment and you have to go through appeal to get it reinstated - do they stop your housing payment during this time too?

The LCWRA element would end, standard allowance, Housing Element and any child elements would continue.
