Confusion over New Style ESA

I have been on ESA since 2003 after my second and major heart attack stopped me working full time, and am stressed over the new system. I have been unable to work for various reasons, heart attacks, clinical depression and anxiety and in the last ten years Spinal Stenosis which is a degenerative condition, worsening now I'm 62 years old. Am I going to have to agree to actively look for work to be eligible for ESA and if so why has this never been the case over the last 20 odd years ? It feels like a pressure tactic and unwarranted given my age and declining health, physically and mentally. Can anybody explain this change and how I best deal with the telephone appointment I have regarding this matter on April 3rd ? Thanks to anybody who can help.

Have you recently migrated to UC, or made a claim through a change of circumstances?

yes I am in the process of changing over, waiting to discover tomorrow how much UC I will receive on April 1st.

Your UC payment statement is officially available 4 days before your payment date, but often it's there 5-6 days before so worth checking.
