Do any of you have a "social prescriber"?

First time here. Do any of you have a "social prescriber"? What do they with you? I have been offered one but I find it hard to imagine what I'd get from it. Thank you

Hi @Topher and a warm welcome to the community!
I am going to edit the title of your post slightly just so it makes it easier for other members to find and share their experiences of having a social prescriber, hope thats okay!
It's lovely to have you here on the community and I hope you find it a safe and supportive space😄0 -
Thanks Mary xx

I’ve had help from a social prescriber. Mine linked me up with a mental health social group and referred me to a charity that offered befriending. Both things were great but have since lost their funding and closed! I have found that local area coordinators seem to be better at knowing what is available now - probably because they deal with a smaller area. I know not everywhere has them though.
