Housing benefit to housing element

Hi
Can someone help with a query I have. We get paid housing benefit, we live in a 3 bedroom with me my partner and son. My hubby has to be in a different bedroom to me because of his disabilities. When I transfer to UC (has migration letter) will they know that we need the extra room and won't have to pay the bedroom tax. I spoke to UC helpline (why are the so miserable by the way) they said that they would be in touch with housing benefit and they should tell them.

Unfortunately UC helpline are little more than a call centre with staff reading from a screen.
You need to "apply" again once you've claimed UC, entitlement doesn't automatically transfer from Housing Benefit to Housing Element.
Once you submit your application online, you will have access to your UC account known as the Journal.
You would then write a Journal stating the reasons you qualify for an extra bedroom to be paid for.
