PIP Assessment

Hi everyone, hope you are all keeping well.
I recently asked for my face to face assessment to be changed to a telephone assessment. The night before the assessment I never slept due to pain and my anxiety was through the roof. I called them the morning of the assessment and asked could they change the date. He said no as I had already made a change but I thought it wasn’t counted as I was asking for a reasonable adjustment to be made not to change the date. So as I hadn’t slept I couldn’t go through with it and he said it would be sent back to the DWP. I’m just wondering what will happen now. He said to call them tomorrow or Monday when they should have received it back. Any information will be much appreciated. TIA 🙏

Hi @humptydumpty and a warm welcome to the community!
Since you missed the assessment, the assessor has sent your case back to the DWP, so now the DWP will review it and may contact you to explain why you didn’t attend. If they accept your reason (pain, anxiety, no sleep), they might reschedule.
It's definitely best to call them to explain and ask what happens next as you may still get another chance.1 -
Thank you Mary_Scope
