Car Mobility Scheme Questions

Hello,
I currently access the advanced mobility element on PIP and have been thinking about getting a car to help with my independence etc as I'm currently relying on public transport which is energy/time consuming.
My PIP award is active until Feb (2027) until I potentially apply and get awarded it again. If I were to go ahead and get a car on the mobility scheme, are you able to cancel the plan whenever, or is the contract in place until your PIP award gets renewed?
I'd love to hear some general thoughts about the mobility scheme and if people think it's worthwhile etc. I feel quite stuck and isolated with where I'm living and I think a car would help with a sense of freedom and independence which is important to me.
Thanks in advance!

Hi @LM28 my grandparents have a Motability car and they find it really beneficial. Like you mentioned, much more freedom and also less stress than having the worries of their own car. 🙂
