Lcwra

HI, I've been awarded lcwra, just at the end of April. I also get ESA, which I've been awarded an extra £45 a week. Got a back payment from universal credit for 1 mth. Now they are claiming that they overpaid me by £567. They know I get esa, as shows on my statement. I thought you got extra money with lcwra. Now due their error, I'm going to be worse off. I understand that LCW, you don't get extra money, but I thought with LCWRA, that you did. Very confusing 😕

You should be better off once the overpayment has been recovered.
It sounds like a complicated situation that a trained benefits advisor, with sight of your paperwork, should be able to untangle and explain.

Thanks again for responding, but they don't seem to have a clue on the universal credit help line. I'm waiting on a hip replacement, if I could speak to my work coach, I think she would know, but doesn't seem to be possible

With LCWRA you no longer have a work coach.
The link I gave to find advice is for locating an independent trained benefits advisor via a welfare rights organisation, not anyone connected to the DWP.
