Still getting ESA after not migrating to UC

Hi all, I'm in need of some advice.
Back in January I got my migration letter, I was on ESA income related. I started to do the process online, but the stress and anxiety of doing it, and having to take my paperwork to someone at JobCentre etc. was too much. I move in with my partner this summer, when I will no longer be eligible to claim anyway as she should be able to keep me (🙄 a discussion I won't get into).
Anyway I decided it wasn't worth the stress and decline to my health to migrate, if the benefit would stop in the summer anyway. So I contacted UC and informed of my decision and why. Within 24 hours my claim was cancelled.
I was told I had to migrate by the end of April after being sent a month's extension letter, moving the deadline from end of March. Well I checked my bank account today and they have paid me the full ESA amount. I was expecting my ESA to be cancelled when I didn't migrate to UC.
I have been doing a lot of reading online and can find no reason for this, so I was wondering if anyone else here knew anything about this, and if I should fight with the phone service to talk to someone.
Anyway thanks in advance for many advice 😁💜

ESA is paid two weeks in arrears which is a potential explanation depending on the dates of your payment cycle.

I understand that, I have just dug out my migration letter, it has the final date of 25 April, so 2 weeks ago tomorrow. I think I will have to try to contact them next week.
