wwondering if anybody could give me some advise, I'm on UC only about 2 months, I have lymphedema in both legs, from Cancer 17 yrs ago, but family member said I might be able to claim disability, I don't know anything about this claiming, i have worked in all that time but it has taken its toll sometimes but battled on, but it's getting a bit difficult now, I'm 60, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Pele33, welcome to the community.

You might like to look into whether PIP would be a possibility for you. PIP is based on how your conditions affect you day to day in two sections, Mobility and Daily Living. Citizen's Advice have some useful guides on the descriptors so it's worth looking through them and seeing if you think you'd score some points:

How the DWP makes a decision on PIP claims - Citizens Advice

Scope have a page about applying for PIP that you might find useful too:

PIP | Disability charity Scope UK

Have you had a health assessment for your Universal Credit?

I'm sure our community will have some good advice too so I hope they'll say hello soon ☺️
