Rent
My rent from this month (May) has started to be paid in to my Housing Association directly from Universal credit.
I hear that it could possibly take about 5 weeks for the landlord/Housing Association to receive the 1st months rent payment and then they should receive it every month?
Or this 5 weeks the period of time it will roughly take from when the landlord/housing association first request that they receive their rent directly from Universal credit when claimants opt do so so as opposed to Universal Credit giving the claimant rent to pass on to the allied/ housing association?

Hi,
I believe the rent gets paid to the landlord on the same day as you receive your UC payment.
So it is not specifically 5 weeks, as it will depend on the date that you paid rent yourself the previous month, and also the date that the landlord request was accepted.
