hi, sorry this is both my first time using this site and my first time dealing with the PIP so I'm a bit unsure as to how things will go. I got the text from the DWP saying I'd been awarded PIP on Monday 5th May its now the 15th of May. I still haven't received the letter. I went thru the whole PIP application process with a support worker who i haven't been able to get in touch with recently and since i dont really know where to go to for answers. thank you

The letter can take two weeks to arrive.

The bank holiday on the 5th, may also have added additional waiting time.

The letters take two weeks easily. Try and stay calm, the whole process can be a long time. You can call PIP and ask, but they don't always tell you. You should get backdated money to the date you started your claim. Have you checked your bank account?

Very stressful process. If it getting to you, you can call PIP and ask about your award, but they don't always tell you. If this is your first claim there is an automated line and that may give you the amount you will receive and you can work out your award. I say your first claim because the automated line is not always accurate but could be for you. I have never used it and don't know how to, but read about it on this forum. Just trying to help!
