PIP

I applied for PIP on 02/02/21 and my application was refused. I then asked for Mandatory reconsideration and it was then refused. I then appealed to the FTT and my appeal was refused. I then appealed to the UT and it was the refused. The UT Said I don't satisfied their rules for reconsideration of a decision. They said I satisfied the FTT rules for reconsideration, but they are not the one to tell the FTT about how to make it's decision. I then appealed for Judicial review to the CoA and it was refused. I then contacted Southwest London Law Centre and they said I have to pay £3000 for them to take this case further or I leave till I have the funds for legal representation. They said since I don't have the funds now I have to make a new application. I then make a second application for PIP on 27/07/2024 and my application was the refused on 01/11/2024. I then took the matter to Citizen Advice Merton and Lambeth and they wrote a Mandatory reconsideration on my behalf. On the 13/01/2025 the DWP contacted me and said they are looking into their decision and will contact me within 15 weeks. On the 11/02/2025 again, the DWP contacted me and said they will contact me by 28/04/2025. When I never heard from them by the stated date, I then contacted them on 29/04/2025 and they said they have posted their decision since 26/02/2025. I told them that I never received it and they reposted another letter dated 26/02/2025 which I received. This is the same that happened when I requested my written report, they said they have posted it but I never received it. They then posted it again and I received it. The DWP don't seems to take about how my conditions affects my daily living, despite all the documentary medical evidences I have submitted from my G.P, Consultant Psychiatrist, and also Speech and Language Therapist. I have contacted Citizens Advice Merton and Lambeth again and they have got my Mandatory Reconsideration refusal letter from the DWP and they have book appointment for me on 24/06/2025 so that they can this matter further to the FTT. The PIP system lacklustre and I have been treated badly by the DWP.

Hello @alasalaamaa.
I’m so sorry for how drawn out this process has been for you. Did you get support with your most recent application? Applying with the same evidence was likely to result in the same outcome. I'm glad to hear Citizen's Advice are supporting you with the Tribunal. Do you know which descriptors in particular you are challenging them on?
