    what happens if your waiting for your pip renewal & they extend it for a year & you want to get a car ( my car is on its last legs & I need to get a car but need more than 12 months on my award ) just hoping my car will hold out a bit longer, wishing everyone well

    Hi,

    There is no longer a 12 month award requirement for existing Motability customers. That has been scrapped. It now only applies to new Motability customers.

    If you would be a new Motability customer then there is nothing you can do. Just have to wait until your new PIP award comes through unfortunately.

    thanks , not the news I wanted to hear , but at least I know , hopefully my award comes through quickly or my car holds out, thanks again
