Car tax exemption/ claiming backdated refund

hello all,
Does anyone know how far back you can claim car tax from DVLA as a PIP mobility exempt claimant ?
I have recently received from the DWP conformation of my enhanced mobility claim going back to 2018. I had paid 50% reduced road tax since this date. Now that I can claim exemption, does anyone know if a refund of the 50% paid for the relevant years ( back to 2018 ) is reclaimable from the DVLA ? Thanks.

Hi @Musoman unfortunately I don't think you can as the exemption would be live from the date it was awarded. They might backdate to the date of the exemption reward though. Sorry, that's probably not the answer you were hoping for.
