LWRCA

Morning all
Transfer to UC complete now but change of circumstances is being made ( moving in and being a couple )
When ( AET) for being in a couple is calculated will my LWRCA be protected and not lost ?
So worried about not managing and even being abke to afford my medication if lose all.

The AET will apply to your partners wage and will be set at the level of a single person due to your LCWRA.
As previously advised your partner will have a work allowance and can earn £411 before the standard deduction is applied (£0.55 for every £1 earned).
Your entitlement to UC as a couple depends on your joint circumstances as a couple, UC is fully means tested so LCWRA isn't protected in that sense.
Have you tried a benefits calculator to estimate joint entitlement, filled in as if you were already living together?
There is a prescription pre payment certificate available, the yearly option costs the equivalent of £2.20 a week and can be paid for by monthly direct debit over 10 payments.
