UC recalculation after PIP tribunal

Hello everyone!

Looking for some advice after my wife (who is LCWRA) was awarded PIP by tribunal last week, backdated to August 2023.

I am self employed and care for her 35+ hours. While the PIP appeal process has dragged along I couldn't be given carers element of UC and had a minimum income floor (MIF) applied each month even though my earnings were below that level.

Now that PIP has been awarded I have asked UC to apply and backdate the carers element and take off the MIF. Can I also ask that a recalculation be made for the months back to August 2023 where the MIF was applied and calculate instead on my actual declared earnings?

    I don't see any reason why you can't ask for your earnings to be recalculated.

    If they agree to backdate the carer element, they should also look at your MIF and earnings for the same period @gardenerdan.
