Hi Tickie I'm Judyteen. Your assessment will take a minimum of 5 weeks, but you can ask for a loan out of your upcoming payment and you can pay them back weekly or how much more if you don't use the whole amount borrowed. Once you're all paid back you can then ask for another loan, it is out of your money , then you won't fall behind in any upcoming debt/payments, direct debits and subscriptions etc
Good luck 👍

Is this for a brand new WCA, or a change of circumstances while currently receiving LCW?

It's for a new wca claim. Thank you

As a new claim what should happen, is you report the health condition, submit a Fit Note, then your work coach refers you for a WCA after day 28.
A form will arrive which you return to the health assessment agency, and then you'll have an assessment appointment (occasionally paper based assessment is done, requiring minimal or no further input from the claimant, but these are rare).
The whole process takes several months at least.
