Hi, my name is Nymeria93x! I’m looking for some advice on a call I had from pip about an hour ago

hi I’m new here.
I’m looking for advise on what this call means for my pip claim.
About an hour ago (15:00) I had a call saying they were making the decision now on my claim but hadn’t finished making it yet and asking me if I were to get a back pay would I be able to handle it in a large sum.
What does this mean? I’ve applied before in the past and it had never been successful and I never had that call so I don’t know whether I should be happy and be excited and checking my bank or not.
Help? Please lol

Hi @Nymeria93x and welcome to the community! 😊 It's hard to say exactly for sure until you hear back, however it does sound more promising than not if they're asking that question. Wishing you the best of luck, and hopefully you hear back soon!

Thank you. Everything I’ve read about the call I had has said that it means you’re getting paid and I’ve never had the call before so I honestly don’t know 🤷♀️ Hence asking here too see if anyone knew.
Fingers crossed for it 🤞

They may be wondering if the back pay you're owed might exclude you from other benefits you're on.

I’m only on UC and it doesn’t effect that. What I’m wondering is if them calling and asking means I’m gonna be getting it? Cuz in the past I’ve not got it and none of those times I got that call so I’m trying to get excited cuz I don’t know what it means
