esa to uc migration help

hello,i am in a bit of a state,i am mid esa to uc protected migration,i am in the esa support group due my health and mental issues,i received a letter on the day of my first payment from uc was due saying my payment was 0,i rang and after much time they said they had not recieved the support group from esa and could not pay me at this time,also they have only paid half my rent,i als got a letter from the concil tax office doubling my payment,when i called them they told me they had just recalculated and i would be paying what i was before,i am extremly stressed,i tryed ring esa but was on hold for over 3 hours then cut off, im at wits end could i lose my housing assoc flat,i dont think i could survive being homeless again,plz help

Hi,

There are delays in ESA sending information across now due to the sheer number of migrations that are happening. However you should at least get the basic rate of UC while waiting for LCWRA & TP to be confirmed. Do you have a statement available in your journal yet? Can you apply for an advance payment through the journal?

Only paying half the rent could be caused by them waiting for PIP info. If you are under 35 and single then you are only entitled to shared rate of Housing, unless you get PIP Daily Living, then you are entitled to one-bedroom rate instead.

It does sound like they just need more time for the information to come across from other places, but I appreciate that's leaving you with no money right now.

thx for the reply,i am nearly 60 and i have never claimed pip,it was also a phone claim,i do not have any family to help and im finding this all very worrying,i have health and mental issues so get confuzed easily,i thankyou for your advice and hope it is just a question of time
