Lcwra and work

If you are on lcwra through UC can you work a certain amount of hours ,, I'm getting mixed feedback from various sources, I feel as if I'm going nuts being at home everyday which us making my anxiety worse , plus the fact I'm or was a gambling addict but recovered 5 years now and temptation is in my head due to boredom . Iv been approached by my previous employer and asked if I'd be interested to work 12 hours per week over 4 days and flexible start and finish hours . The position is only for administrative work so it's light duties.
Thanks D

Hi,
UC works differently to ESA. The number of hours are not limited on UC. Instead you have a Work Allowance for the amount of money you earn.
If you get Housing Element as well as LCWRA then this limit is £411 per month. If you earn less than that, your payments stay the same. For anything earnt over that, you get a deduction of 55p per £1 from your UC. You must declare your earnings to UC on the final day of your assessment period each month.
You should make sure that the type of work you do won't contradict the reasons that you are entitled to LCWRA in the first place.
