Advisor told me..

Hi - I have just received a call about a large sum, the advisor left me on hold to verify with a case manager, came back and told me I was entitled to £6k+ backpay - I woke up this morning to ask whether it was enhanced or daily and then found out I am entitled to £2k.
Do they need to honour the original amount or do they need to reconsider their decision on my forms?
Thank you :)

Hi,
They can't change their mind on this, it's simply calculated by the number of weeks since you applied. One of the call handlers has made an error when telling you the amount.

Sorry, I’m unsure how to comprehend your reply. So, they would pay the latter? 2k? Right?

They will pay whichever amount was correct.
The call handlers cannot be relied on for accurate information. You will get a letter with the correct amount on soon.
If you know how many weeks it has been, and the rates that you will get, then you can roughly work out how much it should be. I'm now off for today but can calculate it for you tomorrow if no-one does before that.

He put me on hold for 20 minutes to verify with a Case Manager also and that’s where the figure # came from? So I’m assuming a case manager authorised it?
Perfect, thanks for the advice :)
