hi all im in the final stage of migration to uc.im self employed and work part time,they have asked if i have had any gaps from work in the last 12months..i have had some (not many) does this alter any future payment?? ie,better to have none or lots?…many thanks

Heya @veryconfused they'll be asking if you've had gaps in employment so they can check to see if you get a grace period for the benefit cap, so it's always best to just be honest with the DWP.

thanks albus,yes always be honest with them as they can see bank statements anytime.but what is a grace period benefit cap??..thanks
