GB News wants to shoot the disabled and won't apologise.

Lewis Schaffer, a GB News guest suggested that the solution to the welfare budget problem was to cut the number of disabled people claiming benefits by starving, or even shooting, them.
GB News originally refused to comment, but it eventually produced the following statement for Disability News Service (DNS): “Having reviewed the comment, which is clearly comedic, GB News does not consider there is anything that requires an apology, or further explanation.”

"Schaffer" …….. 🤨

Starving and shooting people - always hilarious. Just ask the Gazans how much they've been laughing lately.

Hi to all,
How can Schaffer be so disrespectfully to disabled people how would he like it if someone said that to himself.
Amazing blazing62

How can GB news not even acknowledge that a guest has made a big mistake ?

A comical response is only funny when "both sides are laughing." Wording is changing all the time, so classing everyone under the "Disabled Badge" doesn't work either; we are neurodiversant people. Unlike Schaffer, who's other brain cell must have been somewhere else…. now that's funny.

If only schaffer was disabled then someone could shoot him, so we don't have to listen to his drivel.

His comments were about as funny as herpes.

If it's a joke it's a joke don't be offended just ignore it.

Deeply worrying but I'm afraid it's how global demographic views are shifting towards care of the disabled after societal modelling via media, fake or MPs that have lied and etc has now embedded itself like a snake in the garden bringing bad things into existence.
I have watched in despair and frustration at the machine that has been set in motion leading to open and disgusting comments.
I, myself, have been referred to as a 'useless eater' once purely because of my predicament and by someone who didn't know me but I can tell you I've contributed more in many ways to other lives without asking for money or anything back unlike the person who makes such comments who is not fit to clean the shoes of any disabled person because it is they who drag humanity down into a dark place not those they attack.
Let us not forget it was the disabled the Nazis came for back then and many elements of our alleged civilised society already show signs of doing so again in fact it's openly being shown to us as comments like his demonstrate.
Sadly others may well go and do what he said or at the least see it as a sign to further enable more hate crime and as someone who has received a lot of it it's not a nice place to live on top of other struggles.
I'm being polite btw and diplomatic in my words and I'm also Jewish by ancestral blood.

Unfortunately articles like this from the Daily Fail don't help.

It's just a repeat of the coalition years. Anyone still being fooled by this divisive rubbish, well, they want to be fooled.

Hi everyone unfortunately some people a problem us the disabled for reasons best known to their selves and they should keep what think to their selves and not say anything disrespectful.
I hope everybody is alright, don't take any notice of people like whoever he is that was on GB News.

I am amazed GB news still exists. It bounces around on regulations so much it's a bit of a miracle.
Complain to OFCOM. Enough complaints and they'll have to apologise.
This is, unfortunately, the real cost of the benefit bill public fracass. If the govt had just said, we're going to consult WITH DISABLED PEOPLE AND ORGANISATIONS and THEN look at the benefit bill, absolutely none of this would have happened. But because they backed down, it went public, now it's disabled people's fault that other people will pay "more tax".
The misinformation and drama does as much harm as the political fiasco. I noticed that the day after the vote, 99% of the press was on why Reeves cried and what was going on with her. Not on the bill or disabled people.
Of course it's not a joke. It's actually frightening because of how much it echoes the eugenics of the 1930s in Germany. Starving and shooting - two key features of concentration camps.

It's the same rhetoric we had with Cameron and Osborne. Some people will p*ss and moan, shout about scroungers, but that's about it. Avoid the DM, Express, GB News, etc, they won't bring you any joy.
All those motormouths are talking to a sad, pathetic rump of our society, best ignored.
