Hi I am wondering if anybody has any advice on what to do here...

I have been claiming UC since 2022 and get limited capability due to my illness, as my condition has worsened and I have other conditions now aswel I informed UC and put a claim in for the worked related activity part as well this was in September.

I am still waiting for this to even be looked at as they say it is an existing claim and they are only looking at new ones at the moment, when part of my claim is new...

I have contacted UC and they have said I need to phone the lcwra number and ask them to 'supersede' this whatever that means, I have asked them to look at my claim and they said that UC or my work coach needs to contact them to get it looked at/ sped up but UC is telling me that they are misinforming me. Either way I am getting nowhere and this has been over 10 months now and not even getting looked at.. I am struggling to live and am just sick of sitting waiting to hear if I will receive any extra help in regards to the WRA part of my claim and am being fobbed off by everyone I speak to telling me different things.. does anybody have any idea or going through similar situation? Thanks

That sounds so frustrating @kb86, it's no wonder you're sick of it all. Have you had any advice from a benefits adviser through what you've been facing?

I have just checked my journal and I actually reported my new illness in June 2024 and sent the forms back end of August..madness how they can leave you so long and not even better ble to update me with anything.. I will try Turn2Us now.. thanks

Have you filled in a UC50 form and returned it to the assessment provider, and are now waiting for things to proceed further?

If so you can make a formal complaint over the waiting time, their complaints procedure should be on their website.
