Carer Support from LA
My LA does not offer any support to Carers at all !
My wife and carer is just about ready to give up - she's stressed beyond belief, (worried about her own parents who live 150 miles away) having cared for me for 23 years without a single days break and has her own health issues (Arthritis) to contend with (Menapause as well).
It's not a simple job - going to visit her parents - we need a hotel with accessible rooms and there is only one suitable, with limited rooms !

What would I do if (for example) - my wife and carer fell ill and was unable to care for me both in the short term and long term ?

Hi Wibbles, I do remember myself and others giving you advice in previous threads, perhaps you could have a look back through your posting history.

That was more about funding (CHC) rather than getting physical help …..
