Letting UC know about claiming carers

I submitted an online claim for carers allowance but wasn’t sure if I need to inform UC now or if and when it’s actually approved?

You don't need to let them know you've claimed carers allowance but you do need to let them know you're a carer, you could be eligible for the carer element of UC, you don't have to get carer's allowacne to get it  ❤️

From other threads OP gets LCWRA, which means they aren't eligible for Carers Element.
