UC help - do I lose my child element while my son finds a college for September?

Hoping someone can help! I get child element for my son 16 and pip. He has just finished college but trying to find a suitable college for september 2025. While we are in the process of finding him a college do I loose my child element? Im hoping by end of August he will be enrolled at a new college.

Hi @jemmalou04 and welcome to the community. You should receive UC for your child until the end of August following his 16th birthday. UC encourage you to contact them asap if there's a change, so the sooner you're able to secure something the better position you'll be in. I hope you're able to secure something he enjoys soon ☺️

Hi @Holly_Scope thanks for your reply 😊. My son was 16 in August last year and left school. Done a year at college already just hoping he can do another year when we find a suitable college for him to meet his needs. Thanks
