Hi folks this is fus here well a lot has happened since I last wrote my woes

I told you about my sudden out the blue episode one minute I was walking next im paralysed from the waist downwards things went downhill pretty quick a 4 wk wait to see my doctor a 36 hour wait in ae a inconclusive mri scan appointment to see spinal surgeon August 26 well things came to ahead i was not thinking right to cut a long story short I got caught attempted suicide yes me the indestructible fus reduced to tears and bad thoughts

I had some amazing help and understanding from crisis management and some other organisations I decided to admit myself to a local mental health hospital as a informal guest

The hospital in question was not really set up to look after someone like me wheelchair bound it was difficult a doctor checked me over and was concerned about the timing from walking to wheelchair so he sent me to hospital for another mri this time they did a full length spinal mri and low and behold there L9 L10 the disc was trapped and completely trapped my spinal cord i had surgery yesterday surgery went well not sure about the reboot im still dead from the waist down double incontinent they say give it time thats a hard request

Not sure what happens next physio and spinal rehab im up for it now I'm starting a new way of life the demons are behind me

You've lived through a lot lately @fus. Sounds like that doctor was really looking out for you by sending you for that MRI. Are you still in hospital at the moment?

Hope you're being well looked after and fingers crossed for a smooth recovery ☺️

Sounds painful @fus, hope the pain eases off quickly. And fingers crossed you'll be placed somewhere not too far away. Keep us posted with how you get on!

Hi @fus, Very moving to read your update and what's been happening. Thank goodness the doctor did the full length MRI scan and you'd not had to wait until nearly the end of August to see the spinal surgeon. It's a very, very good start that your surgery yesterday went well. That's so promising - as well as the physio and spinal rehab to come. Wishing you all the very best Fus, and sending very positive thoughts/vibes to you for a full as possible recovery. You're a survivor/fighter, sound much stronger and thank you for posting your update. Take good care and the very warmest of wishes to you 🫂.
