Migration to uc

Hi were migrsting from support group esa,im in support group my husband doesn't keep great health either we both receive standard rate adp both elements,we went for ide city checks at local jobcentre they recommended my husband be my carer to stop his work commitments as he's unable to work due to his own health anyway,we done this and today received a letter from uc saying we will lose our severe disability premium as he's now my carer and claiming a carer allowance which he isn't,im now panicking as don't know if we've done the right thing as reading other things and folks saying you should wait a month to say about carer to save losing transitional protection,im so worried about it all and how it's going to affect us financially,we're due our St payment on the 5th can anyone help thank you sorry for the long post
