Pip letter

Pip called my appointee and told her that they have received my adhd report from assessment I had recently and they will be sending a letter regarding my claim back in 2020. they stopped it back in August 2024 but was told it’s not to do with the appeal process. I don’t suppose anyone knows if this is good news or bad news or any idea what it could be.

Hi,
This could be due to the change in the 'mixing with people' descriptor. Some people were given lower PIP awards in the past and they are now checking those again since after a court ruling. If you did get a lower award, you will be entitled to backpay now. But that won't change your current appeal at all, the new decision overrides the previous award.

I do remember getting a letter a while back with mixing with others or communication I can’t remember ha. To be honest I wish I never knew about the letter it stressing me out ha. Iv read that some people get money before a letter is that the same with refunds? Thanks for putting my mind at ease

Yes, most people get backpay in the bank before the letter gets through the post.
