UC not replying to journal during migration from ESA to UC
hi. I have autism, ADHD and mental illness as well as some physical issues and have always been on ESA support group with severe disability premium
I was told to ask on my journal (I phoned the migration line) for fortnightly payments instead of monthly, and for them to pay my rent directly to my housing association (like how my housing benefit did) as I WOULD NOT be able to do this & I can’t budget for monthly.
I did this, but they haven’t replied. Maybe this is normal, but the man on the helpline seemed sure that they would reply and reassure me and confirm it etc
I am terrified that they’re not going to process this in time for my first payment, as right now it says that I will be paying my rent myself?
is this normal? Can anyone advise what to do?

Hi,
For reference, it won't be fortnightly payments like ESA. It will be twice a month, so different days each time.
Unfortunately it is normal to wait a long time for replies, or sometimes not get a reply at all. How long has it been since you sent the message?

just wanted to update and say the day after I posted they actually replied
All is sorted! They got everything done- payment to housing association direct is sorted and my 2 payments a month sorted too. The person who replied was really kind also. It reassured me a lot as I was very scared about migrating
