Does this recent message mean they're looking at my PIP again?

Hi a question about pip. I was turned down for pip earlier this year and got zero points awarded. I then found out that my gp gave incorrect information to pip saying I had had surgery done for my arthritis which was not the case.I have had no surgery. I took this up with my gp who apologised and corrected my medical history. I then did a mandatory reconsideration with pip giving them proof that their decision was based on incorrect medical records. They turned me down again with 0 points and their statement was just the same as the original. I then did the paperwork to appeal to a tribunal and after seeing my consultant who had cancelled the surgery fearing it would make my mobility even worse sent a letter he gave me explaining that pip had the wrong medical information and I told them I'd see them in court and prove their decision is based on incorrect info. Thee mandatory reconsideration was back in February 2025 and I have been told by the court the tribunal will not happen until approx January 2026 as there is a long backlog in my area. My question is a few days ago after no contact with pip for months I got a letter saying they now have the information they require to decide if they can award me pip. Does this mean they r looking at it again?

Hi @john1965
From what you've described it does sound like they are looking at your pip claim again which is probably due to the new medical evidence you provided! You should receive a new decision letter soon and if they award you PIP then you can either accept it or still go to the tribunal if you believe your needs meet the threshold for a higher award😊
