PIP 4 points is it or isn't it ?

I am confused , the 4 points were taken out of the bill to get MP's to vote , then I am hearing its back again and will apply to all claimants new and existing and will come into force in 2026 .
I cannot keep up with it and my anxiety is sky high, I was awarded enhanced on both in June this year , but my award ends in June 2028 , I retire in 2032 so if i lose daily living my husband loses carers and we are screwed at my next review in 2027.
Does anyone know please ?

That rule only applies to new applicants not existing but I have found this on Google as I did not know either…
the proposed 4-point rule, which would have restricted the PIP daily living component to claimants who scored a minimum of 4 points for one activity
, has been abandoned

Has it been scrapped for both the existing claimants and the future new claimants or just the existing ones.
I'm also finding it hard to keep up with it all !!

Hi @KG100 and @sarah_lea12, the 4 point rule has been scrapped completely for both new and existing claimants. The government are now undertaking a review of the PIP system before they decide what the next steps will be.
Once that review has completed, we may hear more about any changes they're hoping to make to the system. The review isn't due to be completed until the Autumn of 2026, so we should hear more around then.
The rules will be staying the same for now.

So the government deceived the MP's they said they would take the 4 points out but then later said they are reviewing it in November 2026.
My award review is 2027 i never scored any 4 points at all so if they bring back the 4 points rule back I am done for .

I think that's why they wanted this 4 point rule as they knew many people would never get it, thank god they scrapped it.
