Pip renewal

hi has anyone got any advice on the process of pip renewal and how long it took and how they got on? It’s my first time doing a renewal, I got the forms yesterday and it says they have to be back by the 30th august so I’ve not got long to fill them in and get evidence printed off! (I have heard I can request an extension)
I’m wondering if I could print off screen shots from my patient access from the doctors surgery as it would be quicker to get this done than request from the surgery.
I had to go to tribunal last time but luckily they called me before it and awarded me without me having to go.

Hi @gowe, we've heard that the renewals are taking quite a few months for some people, but it can vary from case to case.
Clear screenshots should be okay for your evidence, as long as it shows all the same information as your doctor might supply.
Hopefully this time round goes a little smoother and you won't have to go to appeal ☺️

Thankyou for getting back to me Rosie, I hope so, do people usually have to have assessments after the review? I can’t go through that again, if I have to I would hope I could get paper based assesment.
it was a 2 hour phone assesment last time it was awful.Thankyou again

assessments.

do people always need an assessment at review? And how do I request paper based if they tell me I have to have one?

If you have sent in enough evidence and information they will progress a Paper Based assessment, they only call for a phone assessment if they need further information.

I requested it when I submitted my claim form as a ' a reasonable adjustment' due to being at high risk of infection and multiple health issues.
Whether they will agree I don't know.
