Pip review
hello, my pip is due for review in September and I am yet to receive my letter. My friend called them and was told not to worry and that it would arrive but I’m really worried. I have heard that there is a back log but I am house bound without my motability car and I’m worried it’s just going to stop. Any advice would be much appreciated TIA

Your PIP would only stop "after" the review, if you didn't get re-awarded. If the end date comes before a decision, you would get a letter extending your PIP for up to a year, or until a decision is made. You can use the letter to extend the lease on your motability car.

Thankyou for taking the time to reply, we rang them again yesterday and got the same “ they will arrive” response. I posted on a Facebook page also and some were saying that it will just stop and that I should of been chasing it a year ago. To be honest I need help with that kind of thing and without an email address to contact them on I’m not sure what else I should of been doing?

Hey there @mommamoomin and welcome to the community. I'm loving the name. 😁
It does seem odd that you've not received a letter yet regarding your PIP renewal. Have you moved house at all in the past year or so?
I'd be asking if they can send the letter out now as if the award ends in September, then that's exactly what will happen unless you've sent in the forms for a review, I've had that nasty experience before.
The call centre staff can often get things wrong, so I'd really suggest calling them again and state that your award ends in September and you want to be reviewed asap.

I rang them yesterday and they told me that the letter will arrive but not to worry. I have been intouch with them 3 times now and that is what has been said each time. I’m so confused

A friend of mine has only just received their award letter, 16 months after their renewal form arrived (1 month before the award was due to 'end'). Payments have been received throughout this time and they have been able to keep their car. Please try to not worry, although I know saying it is harder than doing it when you are in that situation.

Don''t take any notice of social media, your PIP will not stop in September! You have called PIP and that is all you can do. It is not for you to chase it either!
