Hi, my name is Anonamust!

Hi-new to the group and hope that my experience will be helpful to others-I transferred from p.i.p to a.d.p with seven years to run on my award I unfortunately have a new illness although at present my needs remain the same I informed a.d.p about the change and this resulted in a new determination my level of award payment remained the same ( it cannot increase due to age)however the length of award was reduced to 5 years I asked for a redetermination and the level of award remained the same but the award length was further reduced to two years I have decided to refrain from asking for a level 1 appeal as my new illness is expected to quickly have a detrimental effect on my needs and future health I will submit a specialist report on another application of change of circumstances in the near future which will show my condition to be long term and hopefully my award length will be extended however I now wish I had not informed a.d.p of the change of circumstances as it seems this is used as a opportunity to cut previous p.i.p awards in some capacity I would caution anyone to think long and hard before contacting a.d.p especially if you are happy with your current award it simply not worth the worry and stress.

Hi @Anonamust and a warm welcome to the community from me!
Thank you for sharing your experience. It sounds like it's been a very stressful and frustrating time, hopefully it will be extended and you'll get a fairer outcome when you submit that form!0
