Disabled child element
Hi, I found out today my daughter is on mrc for DLA. I have done a little research about the disabled child element on uc and was just wondering if anybody can offer any advice? I’ve read you get a certain amount for hrc and a different amount for lrc but there is nothing about if your child receives mrc. Can anybody advise? I have already informed uc of the change but obviously they don’t get back to you very fast and I’m not sure what happens next. Thank you.

You would get the lower Disabled Child Element.
If you receive any Transitional Protection on your claim this will reduce by the DCE amount.
Please see previous thread for information on what happens next.
As you get LCWRA you cannot claim Carers Element for looking after your daughter, now she gets DLA.
