    Hi all.

Can I just ask a question slightly off topic? Is there any members on scope who were in receipt of esa benefits (income or otherwise) in the support group before 2024 and migrated to uc voluntary or not, did the way you paid alter? By that I mean we're your benefit split into 2? Did you remain on esa benefit and became in receipt of uc benefit or was when you were cleared for u c your only benefit was for uc and the esa payment stopped? It's genuine question I'd love to know the answer to. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me with my question.

Yes Socrates, I wasn't expecting it but my payments after migration from ESA became one UC payment per month and an ESA payment every two weeks. It's because, even though I was on IR ESA for years (until the point I was migrated), I was originally on CB ESA and there hadn't been any breaks in my original claim.

My monthly UC payment includes a housing element because I rent and was previously on housing benefit. The rest of the UC payment each month is made up of my transitional protection, I guess, because previously I was in receipt of disability premiums.

Hey there @Socrates63 I just wanted to let you know I've split your question away from hte main topic, just to stop any confusion and make sure your question got the proper reach. Hope that's ok? 😊

Please see this thread for information:

The up to date figures are £281.10 a fortnight in NS ESA payments and £609.05 deduction from UC as a monthly equivalent of a weekly benefit.
