LCRWA payments still haven't started after being awarded it from 19/05/2025?

Hello! I was awarded LCRWA on the 19/05/2025 (yay) after continuously handing in fit notes from the 21/03/2025 onwards. My assessment period is the 17th - 16th each month, and I always get my payment on the 23rd.

I have not received any LCRWA payments yet, nor received any communication about them from UC. When I rang them up to ask about my payments last month they sent this message. "As you have been awarded from 19/05/2025, your extra payment will start in your Assessment period: 17 September 2025 to 16 October 2025."

I took this to mean I would be getting payed on the 23/09/2025, however my payment tab for this month has just been updated and there will be no LCWRA payment. When I rang them up today the lady told me I should get payed next month, but was not able to tell me if I was entitled to backpay.

Obviously I have now sent a message in the journal, but they take so long to reply, and I always just end up confused. Does this all seem right? I can't work out why I wouldn't have just been payed this month, especially since more than 3 full assessment periods have passed since my first fit note, and also why they haven't sent a letter or anything about how much money I should be receiving.

Excellent news about your award, that must be a huge relief? It should be 3 full assessment periods starting on the next assessment period from when the fit note started, then on the 4th period, that's when you should start receiving the LCWRA award funds. I'm hoping someone else will be able to explain it better. 😅

Since my fit notes started on the 21/03/25, I get payed on the 23rd each month, and my assessment period is the 17-16th every month, I had thought 3 full assessment periods had passed.

21/3/25 - 16/4/25 - Not full month

17/4/25 - 16/5/25, 17/5/25 - 16/6/25, 17/6/25 - 16/7/25 = waiting periods.

That's why I can't work out why I won't be getting any LCWRA payments till next month (23/10/25). It's all so confusing haha 🤣

With Fit Notes it's the date they are given to UC that counts, not the start date written on them.

Any gaps would impact your waiting period.

Are there still no gaps taking into account the above?

Ohhh that must be it! The dates on the actual fit notes are continuous but I did have a gap between uploading them at some point. Thank you!
