Who Will Win the Semi Finals of the Women's Rugby World Cup 2025?π€©
This is the first year I've really watched rugby properly so I've had a wild time trying to learn lingo like the positions, the moves and the rules etc and I have really enjoyed it!
I'm still not a 100% sure I fully understand what is going on but what i do know is thisβ¦these women are so strong, fearless and talented!!
I also come across this really interesting and insightful interview with England player Ellie Kildunne talking about ADHD & The World Cup and I just think she is an absolutely incredible rugby player! So talented.
What do you think of the world cup so far? Who are you backing?

Backing England here too @Albus_Scope even though I am Welshππ

I'm supporting South Africa because my mum was born there and we went on holiday there for a month in the summer

France were looking a tad shaky against Ireland & I reckon our Roses will be too prickly for them & give them Les Bleues. π Of course, theπΉfor the win!

I was always told I was a rugby player at school, at the time I saw that as a consolation r.e. my weight at the time and my inability at other sports. π I've grown to appreciate the sport a little bit, although still don't play it. π Like a poster above, it's nice to see people showing their skills in a civil setting even though I don't get the rules
There's a great quote about how well-mannered people are⦠excuse the one-gender language from the 1800s, but I found it so apt
Football was designed for gentleman, and adopted by thugs
Rugby was designed for thugs, and adopted by gentlemen

Ah that sounds like an amazing holiday @durhamjaide2001, did you go on a safari?
There was a point where I thought France may win @JessieJ!!! Very close for a while but it made a very exciting matchπ What are your thoughts on Canada vs England on Saturday?Ha thats a good quote @66Mustang, i hadn't heard that before!
I have now learnt what a "knock on" is @Rachel_Scope and @Albus_Scope so progress I guessπ1 -
England
Ooh what is a 'knock-on' @Mary_Scope? Well done for learning something new. You're doing better than me π

πit is when a player drops the ball forward from their hand or arm and it touches the ground or another player @Rachel_Scope. I'll be learning about the conversions next!!

England
Hi @Mary_Scope
Going by the games where we've both played the same team in the tournament, we are just a smidge ahead. Considering we're fully professional & they're amateur (so much so, they crowdfunded before the Cup), it is incredible that it's so tight. It's #1 against #2 in the world, ermβ¦. I'll go for England, but they will be pushed. If Canada do win though, I will be chuffed to nuts for them, as that should get them the funding they need to become professional, mind you, they should get it on their results anyway. Then lookout!

If England win, will they shoehorn 1966 into the celebrations? π

So my sister ended up not going to the semi finals as her friend wasn't too well. But she did bring back a lovely, sparkly red cowboy hat for me. π

Wow I had no idea about that @JessieJ about the Canada side. That kinda makes me want to back them a bit more now!! That's very interesting! I haven't watched a match with Canada in yet but I do think they're going to be tough competition for England, will you be going out to watch the match?

I feel like you need to update you avatar with that hat @Albus_Scope π
I'm not sure what you mean @Chris75_ i'm very new to the world of sport!!

Not a chance, this is women's rugby, not men's football. π
It is an amazing story, all that talent. Things will have to change no matter what the result, it has to. Sadly, I won't be going, but will be sat eagerly watching & shouting here. π
Sorry that your sister missed out, but great she bought you a pressie. You're now an honorary member of the Kildunne Cowgirl Squad, you just have to learn the lasso moves now. π

Who's to say I don't know the moves already @JessieJ π

π So I'll picture you whilst watching the final, every time Ellie Kildunne scores a try. π

A very out of shape, slightly wonky version of Ellie, yes @JessieJ. π
